REMOTE LEARNERS will be on a 2-hour delay schedule for tomorrow Friday, September 11, 2020. Your student should login to their first period by 10:30 am for class meetings. Thank you.

Students will be doing NWEA testing tomorrow Friday, September 11, 2020 first thing in the morning. Please make sure your student gets enough sleep and does his/her best. Scores from the NWEA test are used to determine if Summer school is needed and also for High School class placement.

Congratulations, Karina Fauble! Karina was awarded a $1,000 Advancing Racial Equity grant from Indiana Humanities! With this grant, Karina will be able to purchase books, e-books, and audiobooks for students at Logansport Junior High School. This is the second grant Karina has received from Indiana Humanities and these funds will provide additional educational resources to our students! This program has been made possible through a grant from Indiana Humanities with funds from Lilly Endowment Inc.

Junior High Football: The first official practice will take place today, August 10th. It will be at the football stadium from 5:30-7:30. • Fútbol Americano de la Junior High La primera práctica oficial será hoy, 10 de agosto. Será en el estadio de fútbol americano de 5:30pm a 7:30pm.

Atención estudiantes Virtuales de la Jr. High: Todos los estudiantes de aprendizaje virtual de LJHS pueden recoger sus computadoras portátiles y conocer a algunos de sus maestros el jueves 13 de agosto en el gimnasio de 3 a 6 pm. Para reducir el número de person en el edificio, pedimos que solo un padre / tutor acompañe a cada estudiante. Todos deben usar una máscara. Esto es solo para estudiantes inscritos en aprendizaje virtual. Todos los demas estudiantes recibiran su computadora el primer día de la escuela. Attention Virtual Jr Berry Students: All LJHS virtual learning students may pick up their laptops and meet some of their teachers on Thursday, August 13 in the gym from 3-6pm. To reduce the number of attendees, we ask that only one parent/guardian accompany each student. All in attendance must wear a mask. This is for students enrolled in virtual learning only. All on-site students will receive their laptop on the first student day. If you have questions, please call LJHS. We are happy to help

Good Morning, Jr Berries! We want to let you know that student schedules will not be passed out at Kick-Off today. Please know we are working so very hard to adjust schedules to meet the needs of all students, on-site and remote. As soon as the students schedules are set, we will post a notification on facebook and our website when they are available to view. Our teachers are just as eager to see who they have in their classes as well! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to kick off this school year for all Jr Berries, no matter how they may be attending LJHS!

Jr. Berry Kickoff The Jr. Berry Kickoff will be held at LJHS on Thursday, August 6 for all incoming 7th graders and students new to LJHS. Students will pick up their schedule, receive a tour of the building, locate their classes, hear about activities they may participate in, and more. The Kickoff is FREE! Students should be dropped off at Door#4 and picked up at Door #2. We will have three sessions based on last name. Having smaller groups will help streamline the process. Your child's session will last approximately 30-45 minutes. A-F: 9-10am G-O: 10-11am P-Z: 11-12pm Only students may attend the kickoff. All students will need to wear a mask and bring a pencil and a smile with them! We look forward to seeing all our new Junior Berries soon!

Volleyball Try Outs: 8th grade: August 14 3:30-4:30 7th grade: August 17 3:30-4:30 All athletes must wear a mask during try-outs. Please email questions to Coach Ashley Binney or Coach Kelli McGregor. Please share with any junior high girls who may be interested in playing volleyball!

2019-2020 LJHS Yearbook Distribution Incoming 9th grade students will receive their LJHS yearbook on the 1st day of school at LHS. Incoming 8th grade students will receive their LJHS yearbook on the 1st day of school at LJHS.

If students bring their lunch, lunch box will need to fit inside their backpack
