At the Circle the State with Song Festival at Western High School this past Saturday, Calvin Mackey was selected for a solo at the beginning of a performance of the song, "A Million Dreams", from "The Greatest Showman". Congratulations, Calvin!

⚾ Middle school baseball workouts begin on Tuesday, February 15 from 4:30-6:30 at the barn. ⚾
Open workouts will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:30.
Midterms for the 3rd 9 weeks are now available to view through Parent Portal. Should parents have any questions or concerns, we encourage parents to email teachers directly. If you wish to have a hard copy of your child's mid-term grade, please contact the guidance office. LJHS also offers Study Table after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the cafeteria until 4pm. LJHS teachers volunteer to run study table sessions. Students may pick up a Study Table sign up form outside the main office, or parents may contact a guidance counselor to sign up their child.

LJHS Drama Club had successful performances at Thespian State. The students learned a lot that we will apply to the upcoming play. The student performers competed in the Thespys once again this year. Golda Kitchell and Veda Fagner both earned an Excellent ranking in the monologue competition, while Miranda Rieger (playwriting) and Jaylen Frazier (solo) received a Good ranking in their categories. Great job!
The guidance department will be meeting individually with all current 7th graders tomorrow (Friday 1/28) to select electives for 8th grade.

Logansport High School will be hosting 8th Grade Transition Night on Wednesday, January 12 at 6 PM. The evening will begin in the McHale Performing Arts Center. At that time, students and parents will hear from school administration about course offerings, diplomas, upcoming scheduling for freshman classes, and much more. After the opening session, there will be time for students and parents to tour our wonderful campus, visit with counselors, extra-curricular and elective course staff in the cafeteria and at the Century Career Center. We look forward to seeing you on January 12.
